Lady Gaga has teased an upcoming music video for a piano version of ‘Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin’?)’, the title track of her fifth album.
Released in October 2016, the record went platinum a year later and has earned Gaga a 2018 Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The sneak-peak of ‘Joanne’ has prompted speculation that she’ll perform it at the Grammys on the weekend (January 28), and that the piano version will mark the end the ‘Joanne’ era.
I have a surprise. #Joanne

Money will also be donated to the Lupus Research Alliance in honour of her late aunt, who died at 19 in 1974 from Lupus, twelve years before Gaga was born. On Instagram, she wrote: “Please consider a donation to this tremendous organization”.

Gaga said: “I never met her, but she’s been one of the most important figures in my life”. She credits her aunt’s unpublished poetry as an inspiration for her work, and for helping her overcome her drug addiction.

The teaser features just her piano and vocals, with black-and-white clips of Gaga walking to a crossroad mixed with colourful shots of her dancing in a field, both while alone.
